PC & MACINTOSH FONT FORMATS I LANSTON TYPE COMPANY I DIGITAL FONT I RECORD TITLE , GOUDY
¶ RECORD TITLE was designed by Frederic W. Goudy in 1927 as a commission by the Architectural League of America, for use in their periodical, the Architectural Record. Goudy took his directions for the design from the letters printed at Parma by Damianus Moyllus in 1480. Goudy engraved matrices from the design in four sizes 12 through 24 point. Type was cast for printing the headings for the magazine, where it was used for several years until being replaced by the newly popular sans typefaces.
