Altered Books

Cost: $40 ($32 members) + $10 materials fee
Description: What happens to books that are no longer read and enjoyed? A creative possibility is to shift the unloved volume from literary binder to object d’ art by re-contextualizing and redesigning the space within the covers. Participants will explore the many ways to re-design a finished book into a sculptural piece, take a “field trip” to a neighboring used bookstore and create their own altered artist book.
