Carousel Book Ornaments

Description: A carousel book (sometimes referred to as a star book) is a set of overlapping concertina folds with sections cut out to create three-dimensional scenes for a story. Sound intense? It’s actually easy to make, and the resulting sculptural object is to be viewed as a freestanding object, or could be hung as an ornament. In our workshop, you will make a five-page carousel book using paper we provide; however, you may personalize the cut out sections (that become small tableaus to tell your story) with any paper ephemera or photos that you bring in. All skill levels welcome.
