The wide scope of Preissig's work features many techniques and applications from fine art to commercial art including etching, aquatint, drypoint, oil painting, photograph, linocut, woocut, wood engraving and watercolor.. He has been credited with introducing the linocut to the United States as well as pioneering colored etching techniques.
