Very poppy, but with strict alt-folk like undertones. There is nothing typical about The Amazing All My Children Band. Upon first listen you may toss this one aside thinking it is just another band trying to break the modern rock airwaves, but give it a few more spins and the true identity behind the music begins to emerge - the vague and varied influences, the thought that there is a lot more to this band than initally meets the ear, the intelligent song structures and the well thought out writing. The Amazing All My Children Band seems like the complete package, only problem is most A&R people won't get it and radio won't be willing to let the songs grow - it's gotta be a hit out of the blocks or else...There is a certain punk feel all the way through, but I think that is simply the attitude of these guys. A better way to describe Tangent might be college rock played in a garage by guys who might just be folkies. Each song seems to build off of the previous one, but this is in no way a concept album, just a collection of solid songs that will make you think a bit." - Moe Eisley |
