As many of you may know, P22 founder Richard Kegler has been dividing his time between P22 type foundry and the WNY Book Arts Center where he is artistic director. This print is the second in the series. The first is completely sold out

This limited edition print uses a 2 foot high vintage wood type number 2 (dark blue-green) along with the same block inverted (Chartreuse-yellow)and a smaller but still quite large P smaller wood type 2 (silver-gold metallic). Hand inked and printed on a 22 x 28 showcard press, this print edition is inspired by Pop Art and the pure yet flawed texture of woodtype. The uncoated paper takes the ink in varying capacity with the Silver P overlaying the two previous layers of ink andadding a layer of texture more than transparency.
