¶ LANSTON TRADITIONAL TRADEMARKS: These are the traditional historical trademarks of the Lanston Monotype Machine Company of Philadelphia. The Lanston Type Library was directed by Sol Hess and Frederic Goudy, later by Gerald Giampa. Some of these trademarks are exclusive, some are shared, licensed, and others were trademarked as caretakers of merchandising products in such as Times New Roman® when Lanston sold that face in its' territories. So where as Times New Roman® is "not" a current trademark it is still on this list of historical trademarks.
Also there are faces which are absolutely exclusive trademarks of Lanston. For instance many Frederic Goudy Typefaces.

We will also, later, include new faces into this listing of trademarks. But for now, this is the beginning of this list. Those on the list are not the only faces, in fact, only a fraction of the fonts are so far entered. There are others that are also not listed. You may notice some numbers are blank. These to be filled out later.
Monotype® is a registered trademark of Agfa/Monotype. Lanston is a trademark of Gerald Giampa, the Lanston Type Company and his interests. Lanston Monotype in England and Lanston Monotype in America were always a separate corporate entity.
