¶ COBBLESTONE PRESS made a massive expansion upstairs. Malik, a wealthy East Indian merchant was Giampa's initial landlord of these premises. Previous to Giampa's moving in Malik ran a small boutique gift shop in this store.
Years later Malik was charged as the chief terrorist in the Lockerbee bombing. All lives were lost in the explosion. Note: The court case is now under way after 18 years. I think it may be time for someone to pay for this crime.
I think Mike Parker, typographer, printing historian, may have lost his father in this bombing. At least that is my understanding.
In any event this was when Cobblestone Press began carve itself a name as a household word. Giampa rented twenty-five bus bench backs for advertising and ran a steady radio campaign.
